Year 10 raise awareness of key issues

Year 10 Citizenship students have been busy researching and creating ways of raising key issues affecting young people.

There were various topics chosen including Cyber bullying and LGBT.

Working in groups, students have first gauged the level of knowledge of amongst their peers by conducting questionnaires.

Students then conducted detailed research, with some planning interviews with professionals with knowledge about their topic; for example, students will be talking with the school counsellor to learn more about the effects of cyber bullying and also speaking to Assistant Principal Mrs Breen to find out about Salford City Academy’s cyberbullying policy.

Each group created a campaign to highlight key information, from writing an article to producing a display in school.
