Duke of Edinburgh

Year 10 have been exploring as part of their Bronze Award.

Our Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh students have been busy with expeditions and overnight stays in Bakewell and Rivington recently.  The last trip on Jun 26th completed their Bronze award and enabled them to showcase their new skills in campcraft, map reading and teamwork.

The students worked exceptionally well throughout the course and took part in a range of activities over a six month period including charity fundraising, physical activity and learning new skills. All were extremely determined and demonstrated great teamwork to help each other complete the challenge.

For anyone in Year 9 who is interested in doing the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award next year, please see Mr Davies for more information.
