Salford City Academy students perform and win Troupe of the Year
Elle Galbraith and Sydney Hulme, Year 8, were delighted to report to staff that they won Morris Dancing Troupe of the Year at Championships held on 10th October.
Performing in the ‘Peel Green Highlights’ alongside other students – Jasmine Little, Year 11, and Alicia Morris, Year 10 – the girls competed against other troupes from the North West at the annual Championships in Prestatyn.
After claiming first place at the Championships and adding to their collection of winning titles, the girls were then awarded the Troupe of the Year for the second year running!
Elle said: “It was amazing to win!”
Sydney said: “We have to try and win lots of titles again next year to try and win Troupe of the Year for the third time!”
