Year 8 students Summer Barratt and Chloe Anderson have taken part in the Success for Life course at the University of Manchester.
A graduation ceremony took place this week to celebrate the 8 week programme.
A group of students from schools around Manchester were invited to participate in the course, which encouraged them to think about their aspirations, further education and careers.
As well as learning about university life and taking a campus tour, students also took a variety of health sessions learning about lifestyle choices.
During the course, students had the opportunity to improve their teamwork and communication skills.
Summer said:
“It built up my confidence and speaking skills when we had to do a presentation about ourselves. It was good to wear the graduation outfit and celebrate the end of the course.”
