Thumbs Up for Salford Uni

Year 12 and 13 have been on their final university trip as part of the enrichment programme.

The Sixth Form's enrichment programme includes university visits to show the students the opportunities available in higher education.

So on Wednesday 22nd April, the group visited Salford University to explore the campus and here from university representatives,

Student ambassadors discussed the courses they had chosen and the benefits of Salford University including the support they are offered, as well as the societies they had joined on the social side.

Salford University’s Outreach Officer also presented their MediaCity campus and all that has to offer.

Finally, students were pleased to receive a goody bag with “Your story starts here” fortune cookies, alongside a prospectus, to promote the message of ambition and careers!

Daniel Cooper, Year 13, has received an unconditional offer from Salford University to study a Business Management degree and said:

“It was a good opportunity to see the campus again and see how it’s changed – I’ve decided to live on campus now because of the new student accommodation.”

“I chose Salford because I’ll be campus-based and I’ll be close to town, the course will be a continuation of what I've studied at the Academy and it’s a broad degree – there’s an opportunity to specialise in the 2nd year, a placement in the 3rd year and lots of careers options!”
