Our house system is designed to contribute to our thriving culture of excellence, build confidence in students and create a sense of belonging.
Having a house system has shown to have a positive impact on students motivation. It is inclusive and creates camaraderie whilst developing a variety of skills such as teamwork, communication, leadership, problem solving and resilience. It helps to build students character through developing different virtues such as service, volunteering, creativity, critical thinking and moral reasoning.
House systems can also develop students social skills, encouraging students from different year groups to build good relationships, support and encourage one another. The house system engages students in healthy competition, through fun activities and allows them to feel a sense of accomplishment.
