Year 11 experience 'Mock Results Day'
Year 11 students rose to the challenge of their mocks exams prior to the spring half term and we gathered them for their mock results on Thursday 11th February.
The mock results process is important for our students for two reasons, first to learn the precise point they are at in each subject and to highlight gaps in knowledge to be addressed, and secondly it gives them a flavour of the real day to come in three months time.
Mr Fair, Vice Principal for Outcomes, said:
“Opening mock results three months before the real thing allows students to reflect on their achievements so far as well as where they need to focus more effort. It also gives them a taste of the emotion of opening those results and they, hopefully, realise that the rewards for hard work are extremely satisfying.”
The Mock Results Day was followed by Year 11 Parents Evening, where the academy’s strong student/ parent/staff team was exhibited. Detailed conversations about what needs to happen in the next few months took place, which are crucial to the final outcomes for students.
