Presentation to celebrate our new student ambassadors
We celebrated our new Academy Ambassadors who were awarded their badges and certificates at a special lunch with Principal Helen Mackenzie on Wednesday 9th September.
Organisers Karen Thornton and Ruth Hopwood invited our cohort of ambassadors, from Year 8 to 10, to the Faith Room at lunch to be presented with their official badges and certificates and to discuss the importance of their role within school.
Everyone then enjoyed lunch to celebrate their success in securing the roles following the interview process before the summer holidays.
Principal Helen Mackenzie said:
“Heads of Year delivered assemblies during the summer term highlighting the opportunities to join the student leadership teams of the school. We value those who have stepped forward to become an Academy Ambassador and to be more involved. All those who were appointed spoke passionately about themselves and school when interviewed.”
Academy Ambassadors will represent Salford City Academy at school and community events, meet prestigious visitors, take part in interviews, and talk to prospective parents and pupils at Open Evening.
Business Manager Karen Thornton said:
“We’re delighted with the cohort of Academy Ambassadors; they represent the high calibre of students at the academy!”
