Year 9 student Alexander Clarke has achieved the Chief Scout Gold Award.
As a member of the 3rd/1st Eccles Scout Group, the badge is the highest award available in the Scout Section.
Beaver Scout Leader and Salford City Academy Science Technician Mrs Irving said:
“Alexander has been in 3rd/1st Eccles since I was his Beaver Leader when he was 6 years old! Technically Alexander has been working on the Gold Award since he was 6; first achieving the Bronze and Silver, then joining the Scouts at 11 years old and working towards the Gold.”
Alexander was presented his Chief Scout Gold Award by Andrew Scialpi-Sullivan, Scout Leader, and Sue Leonard, Ellesmere District Commissioner at the Middlewood Scout Camp.
To gain the badge Alexander had to complete:
The Promise Challenge, The Community Challenge, The Fitness Challenge, The Creative Challenge, The Global Challenge and The Outdoor Challenge as well as two of following - The Outdoor Plus Challenge, The Adventure Challenge and The Expedition Challenge.
