On 3rd December, Salford City Academy held a Christmas Craft Fair at lunch time and after school. Members of the community were invited to attend from 3pm onwards, and it was lovely to welcome siblings, parents, grandparents and other family members to the academy.
Activities on offer included Christmas card making and jewellery design, as well as creating stockings and bath salts. Free refreshments were provided, and talented students closed the event by performing Christmas songs.
Our thanks to Anne Louise Critchlow from Christchurch and St. Andrew’s, Andrew Young from St. Paul’s Monton and Cyprian Yobera from St. James’ and Eccles Parish Church for giving up their time, and to Mr Owen, Mrs Phillips and Miss Brown for running stalls.
Miss Napper Harris, who organised the event, said:
“It was lovely to see students, parents, teachers and other members of the community enjoying getting into the Christmas spirit. Thank you to everyone who helped out and all those who came along.”
