Citizenship Homework Gives Year 7 Student Food For Thought

One of our Year 7 students has gone above and beyond to make a difference as part of her recent homework assignment.

As part of her Citizenship class, Holly Fearnehough was asked to ‘demonstrate a random act of kindness’ by her teacher Ms Monks. Looking to make a big an impact upon as many people as possible, Holly took it upon herself to buy some food for the local foodbank and deliver it with her Mum.

Stocking up on staple foods such as rice and pasta, Holly certainly achieved her goal of completing a random act of kindness – most likely to the benefit of multiple people.

Holly said: “When we dropped the food off, I just felt so happy walking in knowing that I was about to make a difference. It was a good homework to do as it made me think about giving to others and I would love to do it again.

“Giving something to someone not as lucky as you are is the best feeling and I will definitely say to others to do the same!”

Well done Holly!
