The School Council is asking students to design an academy mascot in a whole school competition!
The Salford City Academy is looking to creating a school mascot to boost enthusiasm at school events and make everyone more aware of the academy’s ethos.
The mascot would make guest appearances at academy, community and primary transition events.
The School Council is asking students to enter a competition to design a mascot for the academy.
Students have been asked to:
- Design an academy mascot – a person or things that supposedly brings good luck, especially one lined to a particular organisation or event
- Use an animal in the design that represents the academy’s ethos
What is Salford City Academy’s ethos?
- Ambition – to achieve the best for ourselves and others
- Confidence – to have the courage of our convictions and to take risks in the right cause
- Creativity – to imagine possibilities and make them real
- Respect – of ourselves and others in all that we do
- Enthusiasm – to seek opportunity, find what is good and pursue talents and interests
- Determination – to overcome obstacles and reach success
All competition entries need to be handed in by Friday 26th June 2015 to Miss House or the Head/Deputy Prefects, Mo, Charlie, Kane and Julia.
Good luck!
