We were proud of both our Boys and Girls dodgeball teams who came 3rd in the Level 2 School Games dodgeball tournament on 21st May 2015.
The boys fought off some tough competition to secure 3rd position, with some amazingly close games and fantastic play throughout. Joe Mort, Year 11, coached the team brilliantly, providing tips and team talks during the competition.
The newly formed girls team did a fantastic job, with a draw against All Hallows who went on to win. Alissia Turner, Year 7, captained the team extremely well and showed great leadership skills and received a medal for her sportsmanship.
SCA’s team of Sports Leaders did a wonderful job of ensuring the smooth running of the tournament, while two Level 2 coaches from Manchester Bees Dodgeball Club refereed the competition. The Bees coaches, Helena Law and Bru Cousins, also provided demonstrations of the rules for all the teams at the start and gave the SCA young leaders a game of dodgeball following the competition!
Miss Vickers, School Games Organiser, said:
“I would like to congratulate our Boys and Girls dodgeball teams on their performance at the Level 2 tournament. A huge thank you as always to our brilliant young leaders and to the Manchester Bees Dodgeball Club coaches for all their help.”
