Christmas Assembly to end autumn term
Salford City Academy’s autumn term ended on a fantastic high with a fun-filled Christmas assembly.
As well as incredible musical performances from students and staff, we also enjoyed watching some ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ style challenges!
Thanks go to Lauren Bull, Ogaga Egbunike, Karina Lockett and Lucie Welby for their outstanding vocals as well as our school choir who sang as well as learnt sign language for a special performance of ‘Silent Night.’
Maths teachers Temple-heald and Mr Gibbs surprised everyone with ‘Last Christmas’ and our dinner ladies also got into the festive spirit too and took to the stage.
Finally, students voted for teachers to face ‘I’m a Celebrity’ challenges with the unlucky winners announced as Mr Merrick and Mr Janiak. They bravely faced fishing biros out of goo and tasting ‘pet food’ (actually jelly and choc!!) before Mr Janiak was named the overall champion.
Thanks to everyone for making 2016 a fantastic year. Here’s to an even better 2017!
