Excitement at Salford City Academy as students receive brilliant results!
Students here at Salford City Academy were full of excitement on August 22nd, after receiving their GCSE results.
Across Year 11, more than two-thirds of the students achieved a grade 4 or above in English and Maths, while 44% of students achieved a grade 5 or above in the two core subjects.
Some of our students achieved the very top grades, these include:
- Seddick Saba, who achieved six grade 9s, two grade 8s, one grade 7 and one grade 6;
- Stephen Lee, who achieved six grade 9s, one Level 2 Distinction, one grade 7 and one grade 6;
- Michal Mumbo, who achieved five grade 9s, three grade 8s and one grade 7;
- Ahmed Abdulmughni, who achieved four grade 9s, four grade 8s, one grade 7 and two grade 6s;
- David Itoya, who achieved four grade 9s, three grade 8s, two grade 7s and one grade 6;
- Abigail Anbazhagan, who achieved three grade 9s, five grade 8s and two grade 7s.
Parents and carers were also delighted with the results, speaking to staff one parent said:
“I would like to give a massive thank you to Salford City Academy! This school is continuing to show hard work and success. The teachers are kind, hard working and driven and today has shown how it pays off. My son has been difficult at times but due to the support from SCA he has achieved high marks on his big day and we will be forever grateful to SCA. Today is a GREAT day!”
Another parent commented:
“Absolutely delighted with the results. My child has been really well supported throughout and has been given the confidence boost to settle in and realise her potential. I really recommend the school for other parents.”
Katie Eaton, Associate Principal at Salford City Academy, said:
“I am thrilled for all students celebrating today and would like to congratulate them on their hard work and achievements.
