Year 7 have produced some spectacular “Fantasy Islands” Geography projects which have been displayed around school.
They were set the task to construct a 3D model of a Fantasy Island using geographical features including mountainous areas, coastal regions, volcanoes, towns and villages. Students were encouraged to use their imagination and employ a wide variety of materials such as wood, recycled good, dried pasta and even sweets.
Geography teacher Miss Logan said:
“The Fantasy Islands Projects were of an extremely high standard. There was some excellent use of materials, and we have some very creative students. Well done to our deserving winners.”
Four winners were chosen from over 100 amazing models. They are Georgia Bravender, Dylan Southern, Ilsa Khalid and Michael Preston. Well done to them all!
