Get Set for Work Experience

Year 10 and 12 students spend a morning making preparations for work experience next week.
On Tuesday 23rd June, Year 10 and 12 were joined by representatives from the Salford Business in Education Partnership (BEP), Trafford College and Manchester United to make preparations for work experience next week.
Students completed sessions in CV writing with Trafford College, interview techniques with the Salford BEP and work attire, behaviour and finance with Manchester United.
Finally Amy Barlow, Head of Careers at Salford City Academy reviewed a work experience booklet with students to be completed during their placements. Students will keep a diary and log work skills undertaken, as well as collate employer and teacher feedback regarding their performance.
Students will begin their work experience placements on Monday 29th June for a week and jobs include butcher, fitness instructor and bicycle designer!
