Year 11 student awarded in UK Maths Challenge
Well done to Year 11 Julia Chrzanowska for her fantastic effort in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge!
Alongside 10 of the academy’s Highly Able Year 11 maths cohort, Julia entered the test in November. The test was a national competition entered by over 200,000 Year 11, 12 and 13 students.
Julia was awarded a Bronze award as well as ‘Best in School’ and ‘Best in Year Group’ for her entry!
Stephen Jackson, Maths teacher, said:
“Considering that this competition came round very quickly and our students were competing against older children as well, they all did really well, especially Julia. Well done!”
Only 4 students from this league competition will go on to represent the UK at the international stage.
