Congratulations to National Champion Keira Timmis in Year 7.
We are delighted to report that Keira Timmis, Year 7, was a bronze medal winner in the National Amateur Martial Association Competition on 15th August 2016.
The competition took place in Irlam and Keira, aged 11, came third after competing against U14s from all over the UK.
Keira said:
“I started learning Karate in January, this year, to boost my confidence and I’ve really enjoyed learning about self-defence, respect and learning to block and deflect rather than attack. My parents were really proud to see me win the medal.”
We wish Keira luck in the next National competition in Irlam on Sunday 6th November where she will be competing in pairs Kata as well as some individual fights.
