Year 11 gathered today to receive their mock results following exams last term yesterday.
It was a chance for students to see the results of their efforts so far and to push them to strive to do even better.
Alex Fair, Vice Principal Achievement said:
“For all our students, good results are theirs for the taking through hard work and determination.”
“Students should be able to improve their subject results by 1 or 2 grades in the next 4/5 months.”
Many were apprehensive as they awaited their results and there was a buzz of excitement as envelopes were opened!
It was a mixture of happiness and disappointment, but the next step for students is to go through mock exam papers with their teachers.
Helen Wilson, Head of English said:
“We would really encourage them to hold onto their feelings from opening their mock results and reflect on the experience of these exams.”
“Reviewing mock exam papers will be crucial and students’ teachers will be able to show them where they went wrong and how to improve next time; how to achieve those Bs and Cs, and to reach for those As and A*s!”
Mock results was followed by Year 11 Parents Evening and Sixth Form Open Evening.
