Year 10s undertake training to become successful prefects
Prefects met in the 6th form library to complete a 2 hour training session as they take on roles of responsibility in the academy.
The prefects worked in small groups and discussed what they felt were most important when carrying out their duties.
Each group presented their ideas to all of the prefects and with the help of Head boy and Head Girl, they came up with the top nine traits needed to be a successful prefect.
Standards and expectations were discussed by Mrs Greenhalgh, Inclusion Manager, and Mr Evans, Head of Year, as well as ideas to make the academy’s team of prefects stronger than ever.
Mrs Greenhalgh said:
“The prefects worked really hard and came up with some great suggestions to become a fantastic team.”
Congratulations to all our appointed students. Head prefects are as follows:
Head Boy: Jordan Walker
Deputy Head Boy: Alex Clarke
Head Girl: Alethea Biesty
