'Lest We Forget'
A group of students attended the Remembrance Service at Peel Green Cemetery on Wednesday 11th November, accompanied by Religious Studies Teacher, Sioned Taylor.
Students behaved impeccably and we were delighted to receive this wonderful message from organiser and Vice Chair of Churches Together in Eccles, Joan Seed:
“I'm touched that your students found the service moving. It was so good of you to bring your young people and to encourage them to take part. It makes such a difference when the veterans see young people attending and being interested; it makes them feel that what they've been through is appreciated by the next generation. I hope that you will have the opportunity to explain to the young people who were present at the service that the fact that they came is greatly valued. I'd like to send my thanks, too, for your support and for your encouragement.”
