SCA Students On The Write Track

A group of Salford City Academy students are celebrating after becoming published authors.

Year 7 and 8 were asked to write a short 100-word story as part of the Young Writers Competition, with the best efforts then being printed in a compendium available to buy.

The 'Stranger Saga' collection has since been released, with 15 of our students' entries featuring in the book. Our aspiring authors could pick any genre to base their idea on and they could be as creative as they wished within the word limit, meaning no end of twists and surprises for our talented students!

SCA Librarian Mrs Wilkinson said: "We are really proud of the efforts of our students in the Young Writers Competition, and it's really something to be able to say that your work is available to be read in Central Library! We also have copies in our own school library of course - and this will no doubt go on to inspire our young writers to continue to keep up their fantastic work."
