Induction day for Year 12 and 13 students
Salford City Academy Sixth Form welcomed our Year 12 students yesterday with some old and new faces!
The induction day was designed to prepare the students for the next step in their further education.
Students completed sessions that asked them to think about who they are and who we are using the fundamental British values to support their self-reflection.
This led on to a range of fun and challenging team-building activities to develop students’ self-esteem, confidence, tolerance and leadership skills whilst allowing everyone to get to know each other. Students faced a high wire team challenge, tied themselves up in knots and got crafty too!
We also welcomed our new cohort of football coaches through our partnership with LLS who will be based at the Sixth Form.
Jon Davies, Head of Sixth Form, said:
“Everyone worked really well together and we’re looking forward to another successful year where students can step up to the next stage in their studies in order to help meet their long term goals.”
