Opportunity to visit Pila, Italy In February 2018

Salford City Academy is organising a school ski trip to the Aosta Valley in Italy in the next academic year, to develop their social skills and physical fitness, as well as to broaden their horizons and offer them opportunities to experience environments and cultures outside of their daily experience. 

The trip has been run very successfully in the past with very positive feedback from parents, students and staff alike. 

Please find details as follows:

The price includes:

 Return travel to and from school by coach

 Half board hotel accommodation mainly in 2, 3 or 4 bedded rooms all with private facilities – including full evening meal on day of departure from resort

 Hot lunch on arrival and on each ski day at a mountain restaurant

 Ski instruction – four hours per day for 6 days with qualified snowsport school instructors. Plus an hour’s supervised hot lunch at the mountain restaurant

 6 days hire of top quality carving skis, boots and helmet. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WEARING OF SAFETY HELMETS IS COMPULSORY BY ITALIAN LAW FOR CHILDREN AGED UNDER 14 YEARS.

 Full après-ski programme - entrance fees, ski tests, badges and certificates included

 Full area ski lift pass

 Fully comprehensive winter sports insurance

 Discounted dry ski slope lesson (available at a range of slopes)

 Total financial protection (ABTA member V6114) and ATOL holder

Additional costs to consider:

 Drinks except with breakfast and with lunch voucher (water is placed on tables for the evening meal)

 Pocket money (limited to £50)

The trip will be run by Salford City Academy staff and is organised through the specialist schools winter sports operator Interski. All aspects of the trip are carefully risk assessed and adhere to Interski’s Safety Management Systems.

For the duration of the trip there will be at least three cademy staff accompanying our students as well as a comprehensive team from Interski. 

Places will be offered on a first come first served basis. In order to secure your child’s place, please complete the attached form and return it along with the first deposit of £100 payable by 31st March 2017. This will be followed by monthly payments as detailed below. (Please note that this trip has been oversubscribed in the past, failure to keep up with the payment schedule may result in your child forfeiting their place).

Payment Schedule:

First deposit (non-refundable) £100 payable by 31st March 2017

Interim payments 7 x monthly payments of £100 minimum (to be paid by the final Friday of each month) + one final payment of £29

Final Balance Due by 15/12/2017 (Please note that this is 11 weeks prior to departure)
