Students and staff at Salford City Academy enjoyed raising money for Sport Relief on Friday 21st March.
Both students and staff wore “sports-themed” clothes for the day, and a group of Year 10 students, led by Mr Davies, washed 27 staff members’ cars in exchange for a donation to Sport Relief. The car wash raised over £100 for the charity.
The day was rounded off with the Sport Relief Mile, where students were joined by members of staff for three laps of the school field to show their support for the charity. Year 10 students marshalled the run and gave encouragement along the way.
Donations from the day totalled £592.02. Fantastic work!
