Student to Build on GCSE Success

Alex enjoys an impressive set of GCSE results today.
Alex Corral Mena joined Salford City Academy in Year 9 from Mexico and focused on working hard on his English as well as his courses.
Alex’s work paid off as he achieved 3 A* (Maths, Spanish and resistant materials), 6 As (English language and literature, Science core and additional, citizenship and further Maths) 1 B (Graphics) and 1 C (PE).
Alex said:
“I felt the most comfortable in Year 11 so I’m really happy about my results. I thought I might do well but not this well! I’m most pleased about my A grade in English.”
Alex, who has his sights set on a career in architecture, added:
“I like design and Maths is a strength of mine; I’d like to study architecture at university and my plan is to do some form of work experience before then.”
