Year 13 visit northwest university fair
Year 13 students aspiring to go to university next year visited an event at Old Trafford football stadium on Friday 16th October.
They students attended the NW University Convention where they had the opportunity to talk to different universities about courses on offer.
They were able to ask questions about university life and listened to a session providing guidance on producing UCAS statements.
Students used this to fine-tune their UCAS statements, which will be sent off with their university applications before October half-term.
Mr Davies, Head of Sixth Form, said:
“We always like to get our UCAS applications done at the earliest opportunity in Year 13. The careers and guidance given in Year 12 ensures students know exactly which courses they want to do and which universities they want to study at. By being ahead of the game and applying early really givens our students the advantage in securing their first and second choices; as shown with our excellence record in getting 100% students who apply into their preferred universities.
