Academy hosts second School Games QuadKids competition
On Friday 5th June, Salford City Academy hosted the second School Games QuadKids athletics competition for secondaries.
Four Salford schools brought teams of Year 7 students to compete – Walkden High, Salford City Academy, All Hallows and Irlam and Cadishead High.
Students took part in the 100m sprint, 800m run, Vortex Howler throw and the long jump.
The overall winners were Walkden High, followed by All Hallows. Well done to all the Year 7s!
Both schools will represent Salford at the County event on 7th July at SportCity Athletics Arena, a stage where international athletes frequently compete.
Lyndsey Nolan, School Games Co-ordinator, said:
“The event was supported by the outstanding Year 10 School Games Crew, without whom the events just could not run.”
