Year 10 are busy planning their work experience week!
The deadline is approaching for work experience placements to be organised and paperwork to be handed in to Miss Barlow, Head of Careers – Monday 15th May.
With this in mind, we gathered Year 10 to offer further advice, support and inspiration for this important event.
Students enjoyed a presentation showcasing last year’s work experience and the various placements taken, such as beauticians, car mechanics, caterers, hospital workers, marketing assistants, animal welfare officers, primary teaching assistants and decorators.
Miss Barlow said:
“Work experience is extremely worthwhile, not only because writing about placements can make students stand out in their college or apprenticeship applications, but also because outstanding performance can lead to a part time job offer – it pays to impress!”
Miss Barlow is available at break and lunch for any students requiring help with their placement.
Our work experience booklet is available here.
