New appointments for academy ambassadors and student council
We have recently appointed our Year 7 Academy Ambassadors following an application process.
All successful students were gathered to receive their certificate and official ‘Academy Ambassador’ badge to celebrate!
Academy Ambassadors may be asked to assist at academy events, such as Open Evenings, meet and greet visitors on special occasions, work with the transition team and local primary children, or sit on recruitment panels and interview potential new staff.
Year 7 Leader, Andrew Owen, said:
“These students all put in really strong applications to take on a position of responsibility at school and we’re delighted to welcome them as Academy Ambassadors.”
Well done to our Year 7 Academy Ambassadors:
Laila Rae McDaid, Adam Coates, Kwami Sibthorpe-Walsh, Charalise Broadhurst, Harry Burgess, Harrison Thomas, Maycie Milward, Leena Ahmed, Sasha Richardson, Kaitlin Warren, Ronalda Lane, Dorota Malinowska, Calia Wild, Harley Roberts and Erin Odins.
Congratulations to Keira Timmis and Charles Phillipson will be joining the Student Council as the Year 7 representatives.
The academy has a range of roles of responsibility which students can apply for, including School Councillors, Subject Councillors, Peer Mentors, Prefects and Librarians.
