We are extremely proud to announce that Year 7 student Alex Vongtanasopon-Norris has been selected for the Inspiring Young People Award.
Both Year Leader Miss La Bella and KS3 Inclusion Manager Mrs Daniels nominated Alex for the award and we have recently heard about his shortlisting because of his achievements and commitment to showing the true Spirit of Salford.
As one of Salford’s top 10 young people who really make a difference to their community, Alex will appear in a unique film to be premiered at Youth Day after party on the 12th August 2015.
Of his nomination and inspirational work, Alex said:
“I have done this work because I want people to always take the challenge and to grow up with the confidence to tackle any obstacle.”
Salford Youth Day is an annual celebration of the great things young people do. It’s also part of Spirit of Salford.
Year 10 student Kane Whitehouse was also nominated and although not shortlisted, Kane’s story will still be shared with the local community on the Youth Day website: www.wuu2.info/youthday
Well done to both Alex and Kane!
